I have been creating video and digital graphics for content or personal use for my entire teenage life. Starting from middle school, I know the feeling of trying to find free or affordable video editing software, and not having the facilities for professional apps. However, once I went through the trial and error process, I feel like I can share my knowledge on what is optimal. After I figured out what was best for my situation, I have went on to become a freelance video editor for many genres. I have used programs that my computer or phone can’t handle, and other apps that are not suitable for making big projects.

The information I will share on this website and blog pertains to the video and graphic software I recommend for different skill levels and financial situation. They will obviously be separated by graphic and video editing software, but furthermore categorized by price and effectiveness. There are many options for free video editing software, along with easy alternatives for the more known platforms. Below is a list of different apps for each category, loosely ranked by notability.

  • Adobe Premiere Pro (Video Editing)
  • DaVinci Resolve (Video Editing)
  • CapCut (Video Editing)
  • Adobe Photoshop (Graphic)
  • Capture One (Graphic)
  • GIMP (Graphic)

When I was starting out in developing my interest in all types of design, I was a pre-teen with only a phone. I spent countless hours trying to choose between free options, learning and unlearning the program to attempt to make videos. Someone in my same position, potentially not at that age, could speed up the process. The content world is growing every second, with new platforms, strategies, and creators showing up all the time. If there was a website or blog with accessible information about the ever-changing social media world, so many people would take advantage of it. With real results and timely updates, knowing where to find the newest option shouldn’t be difficult.
